TO FIND US
Woodchurch
village is situated in Kent about 7 miles southwest of Ashford
and
5 miles east of Tenterden. Access to the village is easiest by
road as public transport services are limited. If arriving by
public
transport the nearest bus stop to the museum is outside the gates
of the village church and the nearest railway stations are at
Ashord
(Ashford International) and Hamstreet.

Arriving
by road from the M20 at Ashford
- Exit
the M20 at Junction 9 and at the roundabout take the exit signposted
to Ashford.
- At
next roundabout take the 3rd exit (Tenterden A28).
- At
next roundabout take the 3rd exit (Tenterden A28).
- At
next roundabout (Matalan store on left) take 2nd exit (A28).
Follow A28 for approximately 4 miles until you see a left turn
signposted to Woodchuch. If you pass through Bethersden village
you have gone too far.
- Follow
this road for approximately 3 miles and you will enter Woodchurch
village from the North. As you enter the village you will pass
the windmill on your left.
- After
passing the mill take the furst turning on the right - Susans
Hill. The Museum entrance is approximately 100m on the left
hand side.
Arriving
by road from Tenterden
- As
you leave Tenterden main High Street on the A28 heading towards
Ashford, take the right turn that is signposted to Woodchurch.
- At
small one-way systen you must take the left fork
- At
crossroads proceed straight across following sign to Woodchurch.
- Follow
this road for approximately 4 miles (passing Tenterden Golf
Club
on your left). You will enter Woodchurch village from the South.
- Immediately
opposite the Stonebridge public house (on your right), turn
left into Front Road.
- Follow
Front Road to the top of the village and you see the Village
Green
on your right.
- After
you have passed the village Church take the second turning
on the left - Susans Hill. The Museum entrance is approximately
100m on the left hand side.
Parking
and access to the Museum
Vehicle
parking is free to visitors at the museum. |
